FULL BIOGRAPHY
Richard Ikyaakor, professionally known as Lil-Painz Jnr., is a Nigerian Afrobeats artist, rapper, songwriter and creative from Katsina-Ala, Benue State, currently based in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.
His journey into music began in 2016, when he started expressing himself through area rap freestyles and dancing in the hood. What began as a youthful passion gradually developed into a deeper commitment to music and creative expression.
Lil-Painz Jnr.'s love for music was also shaped by his upbringing. Being raised by his grandmother and participating in the Children's Church Choir played an important role in developing his appreciation and passion for good music. That early musical experience became part of the foundation that continues to influence his artistic journey today.
As an artist, Lil-Painz Jnr. explores a versatile blend of Afrobeats, hip-hop, rap, drill and Amapiano. Rather than limiting himself to one sound, he embraces different rhythms and styles that allow him to express different sides of his personality and experiences.
His musical influences include Lil Kesh, Young Ice, and Shallex Obale (Vagba_Vibes). These influences have contributed to his appreciation for energetic sounds, street-oriented music and creative expression.
At the heart of Lil-Painz Jnr.'s artistry is realness. He believes in staying authentic, representing his environment and using music to promote motivation and positive street energy. His goal is to create music that carries good vibes while remaining connected to real experiences and the people who relate to them.
His growing body of work includes “Struggle & Pains,” “Falling Blessings” by Zkull-Bwoi ft. Lil-Painz Jnr., “Day by Day,” and “BMB,” among other creative projects.
Looking ahead, Lil-Painz Jnr. has a vision that extends beyond music. His biggest dream is to build an embassy of multi-talents and new creativity—a platform where different talents, ideas and creative expressions can come together, develop and inspire one another.
For Lil-Painz Jnr., the journey is about more than becoming an artist. It is about building a creative identity, representing authenticity and creating something meaningful that can grow beyond himself.
